Garden Afterschool Program Policies

ENROLLMENT TERM
By registering your child(ren) in the program, parents commit to GAP enrollment for a full school year. If a child is removed from the program or needs to change the number of days attending, we require a one month's notice.

RE-ENROLLMENT
Children are automatically re-enrolled into the next term (within a single school year, but not from year to year) for the same schedule unless one month’s notice is given by a parent requesting otherwise.

REFUNDS
We cannot guarantee a refund for unused days in the event that a child is removed from the program with less than one month’s notice. We will attempt to fill the open spot promptly and may administer refunds on a case-by-case basis. If we cannot fill the spot promptly, the month’s tuition may be retained to cover operating expenses.

PICK-UP 
Pickup is at or before 5:30pm in the garden classroom. Only those listed in your GAP registration will be allowed to pick up your child unless prior notice has been given to the GAP teacher. We will not release a child to someone new without parent permission. If your child will be picked up by someone not listed in your GAP registration, please call or text the GAP teacher prior to pickup.

LATE FEES 
Late Tuition Fee: Tuition is due by the 5th day of each month. A $25.00 late fee will be imposed if tuition has not been paid via this site by the 15th day of each month. 

Late Pickup Fee:
 The program ends each day at 5:30pm, so we ask that parents are on time for pickup. We allow a 5-minute grace period until 5:35pm, at which time a late pickup fee rate of $1 per minute will begin. Charges will appear on your next invoice. If you will be late picking up your child, please call or text to let the GAP teacher know. In the event that a child is not picked up by 5:30pm, the teacher will attempt to contact the parent via phone/text if prior notice has not been given.


ABSENSES
If your child will be absent from GAP, please call or text the GAP teacher prior to 3:00pm on the day of the absence. 

PARENT CONTACT INFO
It’s extremely important that parent contact info, emergency contacts, and pickup lists are kept up to date. To make changes to contact info, or to add a person to the emergency contact or pickup list, please contact a program coordinator or the GAP teacher.

SNACKS
A healthy, nut-free snack is supplied daily for GAP students. Please be aware that, because the garden classroom where GAP is held is a nut-free environment, children should not bring snacks containing nuts into the classroom.

BEHAVIOR POLICY
Students and parents must agree to and sign a Behavior Policy prior to the first day of attendance.
