Garden Afterschool Program

Abernethy Garden Afterschool Program

The Garden Afterschool Program (GAP) was created by the Abernethy PTA in 2015 to extend and support the education provided through School Kitchen Garden (SKG). Administration of the Garden Afterschool Program is all volunteer, and the proceeds are in support of the PTA.

We partner with
Green Schoolhouse, who provides GAP educators and programming. The program is held in the garden classroom and the Garden of Wonders every weekday after school and is open to kindergarteners through 5th graders. Wholesome snacks and plenty of outdoor time are offered in between garden, art, and cooking activities.

Learn more about GAP on the Garden of Wonders website.
